Preparation of Safety Reports and risk assessments in compliance with the current regulation, i.e. Italian Legislative Decree No 105/2015 (Italian regulatory transposition of the European SEVESO Directive, relating to the control of major accident hazards), and assistance during the assessment and approval phase conducted by the Authorities.
Fault Tree Analysis and modeling of the consequences through the use of computerized calculation codes, based on algorithms widely used in well-known packages, such as PHAST Professional developed by DNV.
Safety audits, site surveys, safety reviews, to provide a quick overview of dangerous situations and a verification of the safety organisation, up to the definition of an improvement plan.
Assistance for the introduction and verification of Safety Management Systems (SMS) for industrial establishments in the framework of major accident hazards (MAHs).
Risk analysis associated with the methods of transporting dangerous substances and to support logistical choices for supplies.
Fire protection studies :
- engineering of active and passive fire protection systems (fire fighting and fire proofing);
- engineering of fire and gas (F&G) detection systems;
- technical reports for the project assessment by the National Fire Agency, according to the Italian Presidential Decree No 151/2011;
- certifications of fire-fighting systems;
- fire water network testing;
- survey to verify the functionality of fire protection systems.
Detailed studies on protection barriers (structural verification of fireproof walls, protection of buildings or equipment subject to internal or external overpressure, study of blow-down systems, etc.).
HazOp (Hazard and Operability), HazId (Hazard Identification), LOPA (Layer of Protection Analysis), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis), What-If analyses.
Functional Safety and SIL (Safety Integrity Level): assignment of SIL level to safety instrumented functions (SIF) based on risk analysis, SIL calculation and verification according to IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 standards, safety requirements specification (SRS), validation of installed safety instrumented systems (SIS) in order to demonstrate their compliance with the safety requirements specification, assistance for the preparation of Functional Safety Management Plan (FSMP).
ATEX studies and preparation of the explosion protection document.
Assistance for the evaluation of the performance of the plant maintenance services, as required by the UNI (Italian Organization for Standardization) standards.
Assistance in the design of new systems or modifications of existing systems , in relation to activities involving safety from the moment of initial conception of the project until the moment of its realisation.
Preparation of Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and specific emergency procedures.
Training courses on Major Accidents Hazards (MAHs).
Environmental studies:
- environmental impact studies for the improvement of pollution conditions in the workplace, studies for the evaluation of polluting gaseous emissions flows into the atmosphere for new plants, studies on existing plants for which to evaluate the need for gaseous emissions treatment plants and choose the most appropriate systems, verification of the applicability of the Italian regulation on Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for new industrial plants.
- Integrated environmental authorization for existing facilities.
